The Chandler House Bed and Breakfast was built approximately 1929 by the Duffer family. The Duffers lived in the house for 15 years. Their children have stopped by to chat on occasion. The Duffer children explained that the property was used as a small farm with lots of animals. They pointed out where numerous farm structures and out buildings once stood.The Moore family bought the house in 1958. As a child, Mr. Roy Moore admired the house as he passed it on his way to school everyday. So when it came up for sale he bought it. Mr. and Mrs. Moore raised their five children in the house and almost all of the Moore children have stopped by to see what we have done with the place. Jonathan Chandler bought the house in the summer of 2003 and spent seven years remodeling it himself. Three and a half baths, a two story back porch and a large deck were added during the renovation. The back porch and deck are perfect for a wedding or just for relaxing. The Chandler House B & B opened in January 2011 and currently offers one suite and one room for rent.
